1. Best Practices. Why my app closes after a while?

Android system is working very hard to optimize the battery & the CPU.
This is why background apps are being closed by the system.
Also - Manufacturers run their own Chimera app that closes background servrices.
We can, ,however, try to be closed last.
This role is correct to all other BVR application out there. What can you do?

  1. "Setting:Reset to default values"
  2. Re-install (sometimes the google play automatic update makes troubles)
  3. run Setting:permission wizard.

  6. Do you have app that access the camera also? it can be for example camera screen unlock. app accessing the camera will stop the recording.
  7. make sure "Setting:Camera:Camera2API: enabled".
  8. You can set "Setting:Camera2:Restart after recording fail : once" to other value -> it restarts the recording if recording stops.
  9. Try also to lower the resolution because if the device gets warm -> it can cause recording to stop.

2. Best Practices. How to start recording while screen is closed?

Choose Vibration on start recording.
choose to split the video recording every 10 min.
make sure "Limit recording Time" is unselected and so unlimited.
run the application from the oneClick Icon
Press the volume up to start recording.
When important moment appear - press the volume up again.
* If recording is in session, it will restart recording.
* If the recording stopped - it will start recording.
* If the service is down - no vibration and so you can reopen the service.

Make sure you give all permissions needed from the permission wizard. follow the next step (number 3).

3. BVR Ultimate shuts down after a while?


Android operational system closes application to save battery after a while.
From the Settings activate the pemission wizard,
on the 3rd step you will be navigated to battery optimization panel.
choose "All" to show all application in the list and then uncheck BVR Ultimate
Pay attention that recording is stopped by Android after it reaches 4GB, to solve it, check "How to number 7"

4. In the first second video & audio vibrates


The "Vibrate when start recording" makes sound and vibrate the camera.
It looks like a small earth quake. picture will vibrate and the audio will record strong vibes
Best practice if you want to avoid this sound is to cancel all vibrations
If you want to avoid also notification sound:
In the settings, make sure "Mute recording Chime" is checked.
When you select it in the first time it will redirect you to "Do not disturb" panel
Scroll for "BVR Ultimate" and select it from the list.

5. Backup your videos?


When you ask to delete video files, Our app will re-confirm with you the deletion.
After it the files will be permenantly deleted
Best Practice?
Select sharing and as a destination choose : Google drive or Google Images.
Hot to recover deleted files?:
On Android 11 or higher - recycle bin is set by default, manually go to Movies\KVRD and look for the files.

7. Old videos vanished from the gallery, how to recorver them?


Android 10,11,12,13 etc. use Media store. Media store allows apps to access only videos that the app itself created. After an re-install, or even sometime after an update the app is consider by the android o.s. as other and so - the videos are not accessible. Use this method to recover the videos. It require "External storage" permission.

7. Recommended Motion detection settings:


  1. Settings:Motion:Bypass device movement:disabled
  2. Settings:Motion:Sleep beween images:750 or 500
  3. Settings:Motion:algorithm:small animal4
  4. Settings:Motion:sensetivity: around 500 - need to adjust.
  5. Settings:Image:motion detection resolutions :try different values
  6. Settings:Camera:auto focus motion detection :try different values
  7. Settings:Camera:Camera2API:enabled and try also disabled if nothing helps(it uses different capture mechanism)

7. Specific Battery Optimizations for each device


If a recording does not start at its designated time, BVR Ultimate may have been force stopped by another app or system setting designed to preserve your device's memory or battery.

Other installed apps

If another app is force stopping BVR Ultimate, add BVR Ultimate to the list of allowed or whitelisted apps for the related app. If you are unsure which of your installed apps force stopped BVR Ultimate, check any apps that are intended to improve the performance of your device by preserving battery or memory.

Device settings

To prevent BVR Ultimate from being force stopped by your device, enable BVR Ultimate in your device settings related to battery or memory management. Device settings vary depending on your device type. For detailed instructions, select your device type from the list below:

Asus

Follow these steps on your Asus device:

  1. Open your device Settings.
  2. Tap Power management, then tap Auto-start Manager.
  3. On the Downloaded tab, tap Deny next to BVR Ultimate to change this setting to Allow.
  4. Tap Allow to confirm the setting change.

Huawei

Follow the relevant steps below, depending on your on your Huawei device:

Huawei (EMUI 10.0 and later)

  1. Open your device Settings, then go to BatteryApp Launch.
  2. Tap the slider next to BVR Ultimate so it turns Off.
  3. In the dialog that appears, ensure Auto launch and Run in background are enabled.

Huawei (EMUI 5.0 - 9.1)

  1. Tap the Phone Manager icon on the main screen of your device (or open SettingsBattery).
  2. Tap Lock screen cleanup.
  3. Ensure the slider next to BVR Ultimate is gray (OFF) and the app is set to Don't close.

Huawei (EMUI 4.9 and earlier)

  1. Tap the Phone Manager icon on the main screen of your device.
  2. Go to Settings and select the Protected apps tab.
  3. Turn on the protection for BVR Ultimate.

Lenovo / Lenovo Zuk

Follow steps in either option (A), (B), or (C) below, depending what matches your device navigation:

  • Option (A):
    1. Open your device Settings.
    2. Select Background app management.
    3. Deselect BVR Ultimate.
  • Option (B):
    1. Open your device Settings and select Apps.
    2. Choose BVR Ultimate, then tap Battery.
    3. Disable Battery optimization.
  • Option (C):
    1. Open Advanced Settings and select Battery.
    2. Tap Battery Optimization.
    3. Tap BVR Ultimate and select Off.

Nokia

Follow these steps on your Nokia device:

  1. Open your device's System settings.

If you continue to experience issues, ensure that Battery Saver is not enabled:

OnePlus

Further recommendations

Certain OnePlus devices include the App Auto-Launch feature, which prevents apps from running in the background. To disable this feature:

  1. Open System Settings on your OnePlus device and go to AppsApp auto-launch.
  2. Tap the slider next to BVR Ultimate so that it turns gray (OFF).

Samsung

Follow the relevant steps below according to your Android version:

Samsung (Android 11)

  1. Settings.

  4. Tap Switch to All apps listing - Find BVR Ultimate switch off the battery optimization.
  5. Tap Done to confirm.

  • Adaptive Battery in Battery > More battery settings
  • Adaptive power saving in Battery > (⁝) menu > Automation

  4. Tap Done to confirm.

  3. Select Optimise battery usage, then tap the drop-down menu at the top of the screen and select All.

  2. Tap Battery, then scroll down and select Unmonitored apps.
  3. Tap Add apps, then select BVR Ultimate. Tap Done to confirm.

Xiaomi

Follow the relevant steps below according to your MIUI version:

MIUI 11

  1. Open your device Settings and go to AppsManage apps.
  2. Tap BVR Ultimate.
  3. Ensure that Autostart is enabled.
  4. Tap Other permissions and ensure the following permissions are enabled:
    • Show on lock screen
    • Display pop-up window
    • Display pop-up windows while running in the background
  5. Tap the back arrow, then tap Battery Saver and select No restrictions.

MIUI 9 or 10

  1. Open either your device Settings, Installed apps, or App Management.
  2. Tap BVR Ultimate and ensure Autostart is enabled.
  3. Tap Other permissions.
  4. Ensure Show on lock screen and Start in background are enabled.
  5. Tap the back arrow, then tap Battery Saver and select No restrictions.

MIUI 8

  1. Open either your device Settings, Installed apps, or App Management.
  2. Tap BVR UltimateOther permissions.

  4. Return to your main device Settings screen.
  5. Select BatteryManage apps battery usage.
